North Carolina Railroad Museum & New Hope Valley Railway
Outdoor, self-guided tours of historic railroad equipment on weekends year-round. Diesel or Steam Trains operate Apr.-Dec., with ride days the second Sun., group rides the fourth Fri. and special events the last Sat. Charters, cab rides, Operate-a-Loco, Halloween and Santa rides also available. Prices and times vary.

Halle Cultural Arts Center
Containing three galleries, two studio classrooms and a 150-seat theatre, this center is located in the heart of Apex’s downtown National Register Historic District. It is the perfect site for exhibitions, musicals, dances, plays, speechifying, receptions, chautauquas, fund-raisers and celebrations.

Knights Play Golf Center
This unique golf facility offers a fully-illuminated 27 hole par-three course and 60-station driving range. Open daily from 8am to midnight, it’s easy to find time to hit the links and enjoy the sunlight or the night’s stars. Golf carts are available for the ultimate relaxing round, but walking is more than welcome. Three tees to choose from for players of all skill levels.

The Peak City Grill & Bar
Peak City Grill is located in a magnificently restored old feed store in the heart of historic downtown Apex. With a fabulous granite bar as a focal point, this renovation of a 1905 building has the original tin ceiling, turn of the century church pews for booth seating, custom crafted tables to seat over 220 guests inside and an additional 30+ on the covered outdoor patio. And the food is on par with the decor and ambiance! With a steadily evolving menu that changes somewhat monthly, offerings range from Mediterranean Tapas to Cheese Fondue–from deep fried chicken livers to 16oz grilled to order New York Strip steaks–from a spinach strawberry salad with goat cheese to Vanilla Bean crème Brule. An extensive wine list and fully stocked bar complete the comprehensive offerings of this fine dining establishment.
